2004 Appellete Court Desicion
for Leslie Van Houten
This desicion came as a shock to Van
Houten after she had taken her case to court after being denied parole in
June, 2000. A judge ordered a new parole hearing for Van Houten and
instructed the Board to put on record what she must do to win parole. This
was her best shot of freedom. Her petition was denied.

Garretson Polygraph Transcript
This examination was done on August 10, 1969. The night after the Tate
murders and the same evening the LaBianca´s were killed. Note that the OCR
scanning software that I use to scan the transcripts apparantly doesn´t
recognize the "Q" (for guestion in Q&A) so often instead of a
"Q" there is a large white dot.
Judge
Krug's Order on Van Houten's Petition
This is judge Krug's order on petition
for writ of habeas corpus filed by Leslie Van Houten. with instructions to
the parole board. Leslie had filed the petition after being denied parole
in June, 2000. The Board of Prison
Terms and the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation appealed the
decision and Van Houten's suit was ultimatly denied by the Appelete Court
in 2004 (see above).
Susan
Atkins Grand Jury Testimony
In recent parole hearings Susan Atkins
claims that she did not personally kill anyone at the Tate house but says
she "participated." In both her 1993 and 1996 parole hearings she
claims she lied at the penalty phase of the Tate-LaBianca trial about
having stabbed Sharon Tate to death. But she claims she told the truth at
the Grand Jury. Since she claims she told the truth at the Grand Jury, it
is interesting to compare her Grand Jury testimony and her testimony at her
93 and 96 parole hearings.
Tex
Watson Trial Testimony
The trial transcripts are hundreds of pages but here are a few
interesting parts. This is Watson’s own testimony on the Tate killings and testimony’s
from Frank Struthers and a close friend of Rosemary LaBianca.
Tex Watson
Interview With Psychiatrist
This transcript is part of Watson's 1970
psychiatric report. At the bottom of the transcript are conclusions and
diagnosis from the psychiatrist.
